MDI Marathon Race Day Schedule

MDI Marathon Race day Facts

The Island of Mount Desert is buzzing with excitement as race day is only one night away. The hotels and motels are packed with racers, runners, family members and spectators. This marathon brings people from all over the world to our beautiful island. The course is breath taking and the scenery is like nowhere else in the world. It truly is an event to enjoy whether you are running or cheering from the side line.

Come enjoy MDI Marathon day on the Island. Here is a rundown of events for the day.

October 16, 2016

Marathon Start:

                The Marathon will have an early start time of 7:00AM and a regular start time of 8:00AM.

                The Relay start time is also at 8:00AM.

                They will be starting in Downtown Bar Harbor including South Main and the Village Green.

Half Marathon Start:

                The Half Marathon starts are 8:30AM.

                The start line is on Manchester Road near the Neighborhood Road.

Finish Line:

                The finish line is located on Main Street in Southwest Harbor.

There will be shuttles back to Bar Harbor.

Finish line festival from 10AM to 4PM in downtown Southwest Harbor.
