Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound – Lobster dinner – no frills; well known; not the cheapest

Downeast Lobster Pound – Lobster dinner- no frills; priced well

Acadia Lobster Pound and BBQ Company- Lobster, other seafood (shrimp, scallops, clam strips), great ribs and beans!

Down the road a little:

Mainely Meat BBQ - Lunch and dinner. This comes recommended highly by other guests. This one is on Route 3 and is right across the street from Pirate's Cove.

Atlantic Brewery & Mainely Meat BBQ - Locally made beer and BBQ for lunch and dinner.

The Chart Room – Fine dining that you can wear your shorts to. Full restaurant menu.

Ellsworth:

Martha’s Diner - Great breakfast. A favorite is crabmeat eggs benedict.

Helen’s Restaurant – Homemade cooking.  They make really great pies!

Union River Lobster Pot - Lobsters on the river, eagle sightings, award winning clam chowder, varied menu.

China Hill - Local Chinese restaurant, family owned.

Governor’s Restaurant - Homemade food with large bakery. Buffet on Sunday morning. Family restaurant. 

Taste of Jamaica - Great Jamaican food in Ellsworth.

Riverside Café – Breakfast and lunch, affordable.

Bar Harbor:

Jordan’s Restaurant - Blueberry pancakes, great breakfast place on Cottage Street. This is a quick place to eat and get out. It is great for early morning adventures.

2 Cats Restaurant - fast paced, friendly breakfast place, reasonably priced. Seating is not for families. It is located in an inn. It is a very interesting atmosphere.

Café This Way- Highly recommend their blueberry pancakes. They have great prices and friendly staff. The seating is good for families and the environment is perfect for early mornings. The local trick is to ask for a “half order” to get a great deal.   Cafe This Way also service dinner.

Stewman’s Lobster Pound- A great place to get a lobster dinner right on the pier! They have good selection and locals love it.

Route 66 Restaurant - Great atmosphere and has awesome burgers and fries! This is a great place to grab a quick lobster roll for lunch and get on your way.

Rosalie’s Pizza - Best place for pizza in Bar Harbor. Fast paced environment with fantastic pizza and selection.

Side Street Café - They have a really friendly staff and great sandwiches. Try out their customizable mac and cheese, it is awesome!

The Independent Café - A great place to get all of your sugar cravings and coffee extravaganza!

Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium - Gourmet ice cream made right in the store, Ben & Bill's also makes delicious candies and chocolates.  Consider trying the lobster ice cream!

Mt. Desert Ice Cream - Locally made ice cream, there's tons of flavors to choose from!

Thirsty Whale - Pleasant pub atmosphere, local beers, great clam chowder and lobster roll.

Northeast Harbor:

The Colonel’s Deli - Donuts! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Acadia Air Tours - Explore Mount Desert Island and Acadia National park by air! Choose from a glider ride, biplane ride, or another air adventure.  Acadia Air Tours is conveniently located right next door, and you can watch planes take of and land from our boardwalk and outdoor patio.

Wild Acadia Fun Park & Water Slide - Right down the road from Acadia Sunrise Motel, visitors can play mini golf, race go-karts, cool off with a run down the water slide, and much more!

Pirate's Cove - Located on Route 3 (across the street from Mainely Meat BBQ),  Pirate's Cove offers two 18-hole mini golf courses including Blackbeard's Challenge.  

Reel Pizza Cinerama - For those rainy days or if you just want to take a break from exploring the island, this movie theater in Bar Harbor, ME offers "uncommonly good cinema, food and community in Downeast Maine".
